November 14 - November 17, 2016

Friday, you received your report card for term 1.  Were you happy with your performance?  Do you want to make any changes?  This week, think about what went well for you term 1, and what did not go so well?  Set a goal for term 2, and make a plan (write it down)!!!!  Then periodically, check you progress to see if you are on track.  Term 2 is a difficult term since there are so many interruptions with holidays, half days, vacations, etc.  Don't let the inconsistency allow you to get off track.

Wednesday is a half day so classes will be shorter.  Plan to use your time in study skills wisely and get your work completed and ready for Thursday/Friday classes.  There will also be a presentation on Thursday during your A3 class, but work is still expected to be turned in.

ELA--To Kill A Mockingbird continues.  Lit Terms quiz #2 will be on Thursday.  Make your flashcards and study a little each night.

History:  This week the focus will be on Gandhi, and his teachings, after we finish up with WWII.  Homework from last week  Chapter 27 (3) is due by Thursday.  Don't forget current events--#2 due this week. Remember to turn in your electoral map from last week.

Algebra: Quiz on Monday on solving systems of equations using substitution and elimination.  You can do this, just take your time, and go step by step. Make sure you have your homework worksheet finished.

Biology: Anatomy and Physiology has started.  Word wall vocabulary quiz (first eight words on Wednesday)--make flashcards and study; second eight words on Friday--make flashcards and study. Unit Test will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Stay caught up with work so that you do well, and start the term off correctly!

Don't forget there are late buses on Tuesday and Thursday! Be sure to take advantage of time after school with your teachers to get work done, quizzes/tests made up, and assignments explained/clarified.  Make term 2 better than term 1.  You can do this Red Team!!!
