November 28 - December 2, 2016

After a holiday break for Thanksgiving and being thankful for all we have, it is time to head into the Holiday season for Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations. December 24 begins both Christmas Eve and the first day of Hanukkah.   For the next four weeks we have much to do to get ready of the holiday season, as well as stay on top of work for second term.

ELA: CP2 Narrative final drafts are due tomorrow--Tuesday, November 29.  CP1 narratives were due before vacation, and you are losing point daily.  Get them in!!!!!  New vocabulary unit this week for CP2--Chapter 4.  Starting a new book--A Separate Peace that takes place during wartime at a boys school in New England.  Also this week, there will be a Mini Research project in class.

World History--Finishing up the war, then going back in time.  Chapter 7 (3) is due this week, and a new assignment will be given for next week.  Make sure that you are doing your current event sheets.  This week Fidel Castro died ending his reign as dictator in Cuba.  Find out more about him, and turn it in.

Algebra: This week review of systems of equations--substitution, elimination with graphing and word problems.  Make sure you do the graded homework pages--1st page should be done, and the second page is 4 out of 5 for CP2 due Wednesday.  Test is FRIDAY!!! No study skills class before graded worksheets are due, but extra help is available after school on Tuesday and Thursday, (late buses both days).

Mid-term is December 9, and PROGRESS REPORTS are December 16.  So get in gear, check Aspen, make up missing work, and have a solid finish to the term. Remember the goals you set at the beginning of the term.  Are you on track to achieve those goals? or do you need to step up your effort?

Have a great week Red Team!
