October 3 to October 7, 2016


Good Afternoon Red Team and Parents, Just a reminder that Open House is Thursday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m.  Hope to see parents then. 

Red Team Reminder: If you haven't brought your Permission slip for the October 19th Field Trip to the Museum of Science, be sure to get your slip signed and return with $10 to Ms. Schiarizzi.  If you need another permission slip, see Ms. Schiarizzi or Mrs. Baker so that you can get it signed by the long weekend.

Homework Club is held on Thursday afternoons in room 67 until 3:00 p.m.  Extra help is available from the National Honor Society students.  Mr. Stanton will be in homework club.

ELA:  Characterization paragraph final typed copies are due, along with your rough draft on Tuesday, October 11.  Make sure you get your copy in our time.  Do it in google docs. and share with me if you need help getting it printed @kbaker@plymouth.k12.ma.us.  Finishing up Animal Farm this week, and getting ready to start our new book, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. 



History: Finishing up the Russian Revolution and going back to the 20's and 30's--finding out how Hitler was able to get control of the German people.  Chapter 28(5), Chapter 29 (1) and Chapter 25(1) are due on Tuesday, October 11.  Don't wait until the last minute to get your work done. 

Biology:  Vocabulary quiz on first six words, notes on Phospholipid Bilayer, aka cell membrane and plasma membrane.  Lab this week. 

Algebra: Finished up with absolute value, and inequalities--moving on to SLOPE.  Homework is graphing slope using a table. 

Mid-term of quarter 1 is over, so make sure you are caught up and stay on top of assignments as it is only a few weeks until the end of the quarter and report cards.  Don't forget that extra help is available on Tuesday and Thursdays since there are late buses, just let me know if you want to stay with me.
