October 10 to October 14, 2016

Good Morning Red Team!  Here we go with another crazy week--Monday holiday for Columbus Day and Wednesday is a half day!  Hope that you all enjoyed the day off today.  It was a beautiful fall day to do all sorts of wonderful things.  What did you do for fun today?  I went sailing on the Adirondack II, an 80 foot pilot schooner, in Newport, RI today and it was fantastic!!

Here we go for the week:

ELA CP2--final typed copy of characterization paragraph with rough draft and graphic organizer attached is due Tuesday.  Quiz on Literary terms (5) will be on Thursday!  Make flash cards and STUDY!  Dramatic Irony, Verbal Irony and Situational Irony, Malapropism, and Allusion (lit term not vocab definition).

History: Chapter 28(5), 29 (1) and 25 (1) homework assignments are due on Tuesday or Wednesday depending on your class meeting date! No excuses.  Remember to turn them in to me if you are in CP2 so that you get credit.  Did you watch the debate last night--you can use it for a current event. Remember you need three for term 1.

Biology CP2:  Vocabulary quiz on Wednesday (words on back of word-wall) and TEST on Friday, October 14th.  You have a homework sheet on Passive and Active transport due Wednesday, also.  Labs results should be finished and questions will be answered in class on Wednesday.  If you plan to make up the GRACE/Cell test for additional credit, you need to make corrections, have them checked or stay with Mrs. King or me, then retake the test before Friday, October 14!!!

Algebra I:  Project packet practicing SLOPE last Friday. If you were absent, plan to stay and make up the work so that you are on track.

Make sure your permission slip for the field trip to the Museum of Science is in this week.  We go next Wednesday, the 19th.

If you are missing any work this term that can be made up, plan to stay with your teachers and get caught up.  Have a productive week, Red Team.
