October 19 to October 23, 2015

The end of the term is coming soon.  Does this sound like a scary thing to you? It shouldn't if you are doing your job.  Are you checking your Aspen account, staying on top of your assignments, and studying nightly for tests and quizzes?  If not, now is the time to get into the routine.  You should check your Aspen account at least once a week and make sure that you are not missing any assignments.  If you are not using your Agenda to write down assignments, how are you keeping track of what assignments you have, when you have a quiz or a test? It is not enough to wait for a REMIND from Ms. Schiarizzi or Mrs. King.  You can use the school agenda or there are several apps for phones--My Homework is one.  Write down what you need to do!!

What's up for this week, you ask?  Is it written down somewhere, do you have your notebooks and papers?  Wednesday is a 1/2 day so you will have all 8 classes.

English:  Fishbowl questions on Animal Farm are due on Tuesday, vocabulary quiz--5 words, make flashcards on Thursday, and you are doing 3 character notes when you do your 15 minutes of reading per nights. The sticky notes stay right in your book next to the quote you want.

Math: Checking for ConnectED. There was an assignment due from last week.  Finish your worksheet and be ready for class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Inequalities is still the topic--moving into compound inequalities.  It is just another step so if you have been doing your work all along, just add the next step.  Need help? I am after school every day this week except Wednesday.

History: Chapter 29 (5) and Chapter 30 (1). We are finishing up  Nazi Germany and wrapping up the 20th century for now.  We will come back to it at that end of the year before final exams.

Biology: Unit Test on Tuesday.  Make sure you have completed your study guide.  If you are having difficulties, stay after with Mrs. King or myself. Will do a review session after school Monday for anyone who needs help.

PSATs for freshman is this Thursday.  Get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, and so you can do your best.

Have a great week Red Team!  It will be a busy one. Don't forget the FRESHMAN cookout on Thursday afternoon.  Hamburgers, hot dogs and a football game.  What more could you want?
