October 12 to October 16, 2015

Hope that everyone enjoyed the Columbus Day weekend.  This will be a somewhat mixed up week so it is important to stay on top of your academics with all the changes.

The trip to the Museum of Science was a success today.  Saw many interesting exhibits and enjoyed learning about the work the paleontologists are doing in the Gobi Desert and the Desert in New Mexico. It is really amazing that there are so many dinosaur fossils being found after so many years.  Hope that everyone enjoyed being out of the building while the sophomores, juniors and seniors were taking the PSATs and the SATs.  Your turn comes next week on October 22 when all freshman will take the PSATs.

English:  Remember the change in assignment for your reading book.  Still read for 15 minutes, but remember you are to use three (3) sticky notes to identify character traits. Keep the sticky note right next to the passage that describes the trait.  No new vocabulary this week. Finish the Day 7 response sheet and make sure that you have turned in your other response sheets.  Check ASPEN to see what you are missing.

History:  Finishing Swing Kids this week.  New assignment sheet will be given out on Thursday for next week.  This is a good time to make sure you have turned in last week's assignments--29 (3) and (4).

Algebra:  CONNECTED assignment was put up this week.  Make sure you complete it.

Biology: Vocabulary Quiz on Friday for nine (9) words. Flashcards add 2 extra points.  Study guide will be given out Friday for TEST next Tuesday. Make sure you use your class time wisely to get it filled out.

Have a productive week, and remember you are in charge of your education!
