Walking with Dinosaurs is like the time before Christmas vacation--the ancient past. Saving Mr. Banks is like your job for the new year--working toward a goal. Mr. Disney worked for twenty years to get the movie rights for "Mary Poppins" before he achieved his goal. You have two weeks to get this term wrapped up--make up any missing work now. Mid-term exams start on Friday, January 17th (regular day and G period exam) and continue after the long Martin Luther King Day weekend on Tuesday (Exam for period A and B with shortened classes for the rest), Wednesday (C and D Exams with 11:05 dismissal) and Thursday (E and F Exams with 11:05 dismissal), January 21-23 with the final day of the term on Friday, January 24th (regular day with advisory/directed study).
English IB will begin a short story unit this week, continue with Daily Language activities, and begin to review all the vocabulary for this semester.
Science CP2 continues to explore atomic theory starting with a writing assignment--Rutherford's Atomic Theory Journal due on Wednesday. Notes on atomic number and mass number will continue our exploration of atomic theory.
Algebra I CP2 will be dealing with quadratics again this week before our review for the Mid-term final begins next week.
English I CP2 dramatic presentations will be finalized, Schoology posts need to be completed before Friday, January 10th.
World History will deal with the Renaissance and Reformation, then review world religions prior to the exam. Assignments are due Wednesday and Thursday. See Mr. Stanton's blog. Also 2 current event papers are due before the end of the term--6 more articles.
This will be a busy two weeks, so get yourself in gear to "JUST DO IT!!!!"
