Progress reports were issued last Friday. Are you happy with the results? If not, let's make some changes. Is all your homework completed and turned in on time? Are you taking the time to study for quizzes and tests? Make sure that you are using your agenda, and recording assignments, quizzes and tests, as well as due dates. Need some extra help--stay for HOMEWORK CLUB in room 218 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15 until 3:00 p.m. Develop a homework routine--same time and same place at home, away from distractions.
English I: Chapter 1 is finished with a plot summary sheet, and Of Mice and Men continues as we venture onto the ranch and meet more characters like Candy and the Boss, along with Curley and the rest of the men lead by Slim. The rest of the vocabulary comes from chapter 2 as we add eight more words-to our list, make flashcards, and start to build our word wall.
No School on Monday, October 14 for Columbus Day, and the Freshman field trip to the Aquarium is on Wednesday, October 16. Don't forget to get your money and permission slip in before Friday, October 11.
