September 5 - September 9th

The first week of school has finished and students appear to have transitioned smoothly.  Paper work (Envelope given out first day, as well as individual expectations for various classes) needs to be signed and returned by Friday, September 9, 2016.

Science safety contracts have been issued, need to be signed, and returned. In English, we started with vocabulary, and literary terms. Packet is due on Wednesday.  In Algebra I CP2, students are beginning with review of concepts from last year. In History, students are learning about World War I and Chapter 26, sections 1 and 2 are due Wednesday.Chapter 26 (3), (4) and (5) are due early next week.

Even though there were only three days of school last week, it was busy.  With the new schedule, it is important to make sure your student is using their agenda to keep track of all the assignments, projects and quizzes.  Also, please check individual teacher blogs and Aspen regularly. Any questions or concerns, please email me directly at kbaker@plymouth.k12.ma.us.

Study Skills Expectations and Parent letter were sent home last Thursday and are considered  homework assignments.  Please review with your student, then sign and return sign off sheets by Friday, September 9, 2016.  I look forward to your input.

It was nice to meet some many of you at the Freshman ice cream social, and October 6th is the Open House at 7 p.m. so plan to SAVE THE DATE!

With the Labor Day holiday Monday, and Massachusetts Primary on Thursday, this will be another short week with no school either day.  Students make sure you are keeping track of your assignments.  Remember to check the teacher blogs--starting with this one.

Have a good week!
