Happy Pi Day! Monday is March 14th and if you take the number for pi-- 3.141592653 and round it will be 3.14.16 today's date!
Now that the clocks have gone ahead for daylight savings time, it will be lighter later in the afternoon so that it means more time to get out and do spring sports, have fun with your friends after school, and know that you don't have to walk home from the late bus in the dark. With just three weeks left until the end of term 3, it also means that it would be a good plan to stay after school and get missing work made up and turned in. Don't wait until the last minute!
English: Finishing up the Romeo and Juliet Theme Essay. B2 should have the three body paragraphs and the introduction with thesis statement done by Monday 3/14. Finish up the conclusion, get your paper typed, edit and revise, then turn it in. To Kill A Mockingbird will take out attention in class now. Already on chapter 3. Are your guided questions done?
Biology: The Mitosis/Meiosis Test is done, at least for most students, and we have started the new word wall vocabulary for Genetics. Did you ever wonder why your brother or sister have different color eyes that you do, or do you have different color eyes than your parents? It's all in the genes!
World History: Columbus Hero or Villain is done, now it is on to Elizabeth I, daughter of Henry the VIII. Video continues. Chapter 18 section 1 and 2 are due this week. Make sure you are caught up with your history homework and current events.
Algebra I: Finished up with the Quadratic problems, at least most of you have. If you are still working on it, let's stay after this week and get the work and poster done. Tuesday and Thursday there are late buses, as well as extra help with Mrs. Baker or through Homework Club on Thursday with NHS students. Starting on radicals!!
Have a good week Red Team! Let's do this, and have a strong finish for term 3.
