December 7 - December 11, 2015

Let us never forget!

Monday, December 7 is Pearl Harbor Day, the day that the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, and as a result the United States entered World War II. 

This Friday, December 11th is mid-term for quarter 2.  Remember that there are no longer paper progress reports so parents please check your student's ASPEN account for updates.  Homework Club meets every Thursday in Room 67 with members of the National Honor Society available for extra help. Extra help is also available in room 241 on Tuesdays and Thursdays when there are late buses scheduled. Take advantage of the after-school help to get work done.

English: Reflections for Term 1 Independent Reading are due on Friday, 12/11. Continue to read nightly and add to your imagery wheel with sensory quotes and page numbers. New argument essay is beginning: "Was George justified when he killed Lennie?" Yes/No? Why? Three reasons due on Wednesday.

Algebra: Finishing Up Exponents. Page 402 #1-15 are due on Tuesday. Don't forget to do your ConnectED.

Biology: Vocabulary Quiz on Monday, 12/7 on the first ten words, make your flashcards and study. The last 7 words will be quizzed on Friday, 12/11 and there will be multiple choice questions as well on Respiratory, Circulatory and Excretory Systems. Stay caught up and do your homework so that you are not losing points. 

World History: Chapter 7 sections 3 and 4 are due this week. Moving into European Middle Ages. Islam will be incorporated into our study of the Medieval Church and Manor System, and Crusades.
