November 16-November 20, 2015

Goodness, the days are flying by, and soon it will be Thanksgiving.  Yum!  But wait, there is still work to be done. Report cards came out last Friday.  Are you happy with your grades or do you need to tweak your way of doing things a little, or maybe more than a little.  Decide now to make those changes!  Use your agenda- check; set up a homework routine--check; study a little each night for an up coming test--check! Okay, now let's put it all together!!!

English: Of Mice and Men continues.  Did you read your pages and highlight power struggles?  Have you done your nightly reading and your sticky notes?  (See what I mean about using your agenda--that way you won't forget the little things!)

World History:  Chapter 3(4) and 3(5) are due this week along with Chapter 27 (3) Seeking India by Friday.  Many of you still have not turned in last week's assignments--Chapter 3 (1) and 3 (2).  Not a good way to start off the new term.

Algebra I: Finishing up Chapter 6 Systems of Equations with review and test on Thursday--graphing, substitution and elimination, along with word problems.  Review your packets that you have been working on.

Biology:  Vocabulary quiz coming up on Friday.  Finish and study your flash cards on the last 10 words.  Do you know the difference between cartilage, ligament and tendon?  You should since they are three of the words this week.  Remember Mrs. King's demonstration about myosin and actin. (two more words, along with sacromere).  See you can do this!!

Homework Club meets in room 67 on Thursday with Mr. Stanton.  Take advantage of this time to get caught up with your history, or do you English, math or biology.

Thursday is the beginning of Spirit Week--can you find an really ugly sweater to wear?  Do your best to find one and get in the spirit!!

Finally, Wednesday is a half day.  Remember that means that we have all eight (8) periods jammed into the time from 7:20 until 11 a.m.

Have a good week Red Team!
