First week in September

It was nice to meet some of you at the Freshman ice cream social, and October 1st is the Open House at 7 p.m. so plan to SAVE THE DATE!

The first week of school has finished and students appear to have transitioned smoothly.  Paper work (Envelope given out first day, as well as individual expectations for various classes) needs to be signed and returned by September 11, 2015..

Science safety contracts have been issued, need to be signed, and returned. In English, we started with vocabulary, and students need to bring a choice book for silent reading at the beginning of each class. In Algebra I CP2, students are beginning with review of concepts from last year. In History, students are learning about World War I and Chapter 26, sections 1 and 2 were due Tuesday. Chapter 26 (3), (4) and (5) will be due the beginning of next week.

Even though there were only three days of school last week, it was busy.  With the new schedule, it is important make sure your student is using their agenda to keep track of all the assignments, projects and quizzes.  Also, please check individual teacher blogs and Aspen regularly. Any questions or concerns, please email me directly at kbaker@plymouth.k12.ma.us.

Look for Study Skills expectations and parent letters this week.  Please review with your student, then sign and return sign off sheets by Friday,  September 11, 2015.  I look forward to your input.
