Spring has begun, the birds are returning, the days are getting longer. Now if the snow will just stop falling and melt away then spring sports can get going, and students can get outside to burn off the extra energy built up during the day. With Spring comes April 10th and the end of term 3. That means you have about 8 more days to get work completed and turned in before grades close. Report cards will be distributed on Friday April 17, right before April Vacation.
This will be another week of PARCC testing. ELA Grade 9 on Monday and Wednesday, period C; ELA Grade 11 on Tuesday, and Wednesday, period A only. Friday there is no school due to Good Friday. There is no time to waste.
English: To Kill A Mockingbird continues. The Trial is over, Tom Robinson was innocent but convicted anyway. Between now and vacation, there will be a Project and Test to finish up the book. We will also watch the end of the movie.
History: Queen Elizabeth I movie continues, finish up the Enlightment with a role play activity, and then the American Revolution. No new homework assignments--make sure you are caught up 18(1) and 18(2) are now due. Also current events--remember 5 sheets with 3 stories.
Math: All you ever wanted to know about Radicals!!!! Connect Ed was past due over the weekend.
Biology: Genetics, Dominant and Recessive Genes, Phenotypes, and Genotypes. All vocabulary that you should Know. Punnet Squares begin.
