Mid-term is Friday! Have you checked your Aspen account yet? Log in and make sure that you are doing all that you can to be successful. Do you write in your Agenda every day? Have you got a specific homework routine? Do you know that Homework Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, and that there are late buses? These are some of the support systems that are in place to help you do your best.
Fall is here and the temperatures are getting cooler. The autumnal equinox was last night 9/22/2014 meaning that the day and night are equal length. Hint, hint--this might very well be a question on the history quiz this week.
Wednesday is a 1/2 day and the Red Team will be watching All's Quiet on the Western Front during periods C-F.
English: Students are continuing to read A Separate Peace and answering guided reading questions and completing vocabulary activities. Some classes have started their personal narrative on friendship, other classes will start later this week.
Biology: Cells, cells, cells! Do you know what each organelle in the cells does? You should by now. Quiz on Tuesday--you need to be able to identify each organelle and tell what its' function is. Cell Analogy project continues this week as well.
Algebra: Review continues with Linear equations and graphing. Do you remember how to find slope when given two points? Have you heard that Y= Mx + b (slope-intercept form)? Problem Solving will be on Tuesday this week--remember this is about real life situations! Connect Ed is coming!!!
History: World War I continues and All's Quiet on the Western Front will help us finish up. All Red Team students will go to the Back Stage on Wednesday to see the movie. Homework this week is due Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! Current Events are due Friday.
