September 15 to September 19, 2014

After a steamy start to the year, it finally feels like fall.  Cool days and cooler nights, ads for apple picking, pumpkins, and mums, and finally the first full week of school.

In English, we continue reading A Separate Peace and answering chapter questions.  There were will be quiz on Chapters 1 and 2 in the CP2 class this week. New vocabulary words and guided questions for Chapter 3 this week.

History continues with World War I--propaganda posters are due Tuesday, and weekly assignment sheets will be given out today for the week.  Don't forget current events are due every Friday.

Algebra I: Solving equations with variables on both sides. Quizzes from Friday were returned and reviewed. Books signed out--need to be covered and will be kept at school.  Connect Ed is coming!!!!

Science:  Work continues on the cell. You need to be able to identify organelles in the cell and know their functions.  Today we used microscopes to identify parts of plants and animal cells. See Mrs. Potter's blog for additional information.

We are off to a good start--homework is being completed, and students are coming prepared for class.  Keep up the good work.
