December 2 to December 6, 2013

Thanksgiving Break is over, and now it's the push for the Holiday Break--only three weeks away.  This Friday the grades close for mid-term, and progress reports come out on December 13th.  Are your grades where you want them to be?  Remember that Homework Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 218 from 2:15 until 3:00 p.m.  Late buses are available on those days as well.

English:  The Of Mice and Men Idiom Book project was introduced, and students are taking notes on different idioms that they can choose 8 from for their books. We will continue reading Chapter 5 in the OMAM book this week as well.  Ipads for the Project will be available next week from Monday until Wednesday.  We will do most of the work in class, but students may need to finish pictures at home.

Study Skills: 

• History this week deals with the High Middle Ages and the Crusades.  See Mr. Stanton's blog for assignment sheet if you lost yours.
• Math: Working with algebra tiles and FOILing. Quiz on Friday.
• English: Started Separate Peace--reading up to page 60 this week for HW. Don't forget your independent reading--check on Friday.
• Science topic is Heat and Temperature Chapter 16.1 in the book. Project starting the end of the week.
