March 7 - March 11, 2016

Friday, March 4 was midterm.  Have you checked Aspen to see what you are missing and where you stand academically?  Make sure to take care of that early this week so that you are back on track for term 3.  There is still time to make changes and bring grades up before the end of the term.  Extra help is available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays when there are late buses.  Mr. Stanton does Homework Club on Thursdays in room 67 with members of the National Honor Society there to help students in all academic subjects.  Team teachers are also available for extra help as well.  Make a plan now to do what you need to do to be successful.

English: Romeo and Juliet theme essay continues. You should have body paragraph one rough draft complete and ready for class on Monday. Paragraph two will begin then.  Do not get behind. Stay after school if necessary.  Literary terms also continue. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee was introduced at the end of last week and will begin this week.

Biology: Vocabulary quiz for the last 8 words on Mitosis/Meiosis Monday/Tuesday,  then Chapter Test will be on Thursday/Friday depending on your class. Study guides will be given out after vocab quiz and are to be completed before your chapter test. The study guides are NOT optional--count as a grade.  Do your best.

History: DBQ Columbus Hero or Villain will be completed in class Tuesday.  Don't forget your document packet so that you can insert quotes to support your thesis. Chapter 17 (3) is due this week as well.  Take this opportunity to get any back assignments completed and turned in.

Algebra I: Quadratic Projects were turned in last Friday, presented and corrections could be made for more credit. Make sure your project is turned in so that you receive credit.

Wednesday, March 9 is a half day, and should be warm and sunny.  Get work done in school so that you can enjoy an afternoon outside.

There will be Job Fair on Thursday after school in the cafeteria from 2:00-4:00pm. There will be over 25 employers looking to hire our students. Also, if you are looking for community service opportunities, there will be opportunities for that as well. In addition, we will have staff running resume building and job interview workshops. Have a good week Red Team!!  Work hard and have some fun too!
