Mid-Year Exam Week 1/19-1/22/2016

The Night Before the Exam

DO NOT CRAM!

Take out your study guides, look through the material, and practice a few problems or have someone review with you by asking questions.

Go to bed and get a good night's sleep. Don't forget to set your alarm so that you have time to get ready in the morning.

The Day of the Exam

Here’s some quick tips for the day of your mid-term exams:
  • midtermsWake up early so that you don’t need to rush through having your breakfast and getting ready
  • Check time of the exam to make sure that you have not confused turn up in the right place at the right time!
  • Before leaving home, check that you have everything that you will need – Student ID, stationery, map to the exam venue, etc.
  • Remember to write your name on the exam paper. You would not believe how many people have forgotten to do it!
  • Read all the exam questions carefully before starting and quickly plan how much time to allocate to each one
For many of you, this is the first time that you have taken tests that count for so much, but as high school continues you will be faced with more tests like this: Final exams, MCAS, etc.  Take a deep breath, hopefully you have studied a little each night for some time.
