Happy 2016 and Welcome Back!

Another month on our journey to the end of your Freshman year.  It is amazing how quickly the time is flying by.  It is almost time for mid-year exams, and then third term begins.  Mid year exams start on Friday, January 15th and end on Thursday, January 21st.  Now is the time to start getting ready. Start the year off right by getting organized, then you can find the information that you will need to complete your study guides for your exams.

Hope that everyone had a relaxing vacation, did wonderful things, and had a time to refresh and renew, because here we go!!

English:  Rough drafts of your Of Mice and Men essays--all five paragraphs are due on Wednesday, January 6, 2016!  Gather your materials together and log onto Googledocs and get this done.  If you are having trouble, extra help will be available in Study Skills on Monday, and after school on Monday and Tuesday this week.  Plan ahead and don't wait until the last minute.  I already got my REMIND 101 message from Ms. Schiarizzi so I know you should have as well.

History:  This week we will complete the Medieval Timeline, and start getting ready for the Mid-Year Exam.  Mr. Stanton will give you the information during first class this week. Remember that the last book homework assigned before the vacation is due this week--Chapter 13 (1), (2), and (3) along with the separate homework on Globe Theatre/Shakespeare. Timeline is due first class next week.

Biology:  The Digestive System--remember we still have more vocabulary words to do. Check out your list and start studying. Quiz date for vocabulary will be the end of the week--make flash cards!

Algebra: Stay tuned for more information.  First class this week is Tuesday, January 5th. Don't forget to bring your book to class.

Welcome to a wonderful new year!
