May 12 - May 16, 2014

After a beautiful weekend with sunny, warm weather, flowering trees, and a true taste of Spring with a touch of summer, it is time to get back to work so that you have a strong finish to the year. Mid-term was last Friday, and progress reports come out this Friday, May 16th.  That means that the end is in sight--only 5 weeks left until the end of school.

Review for exams have started in math--make sure to do the Connect Ed each week. That is the only way to get extra credit.

In science, the Biology unit has started--everything you ever wanted to know about organic molecules, and then some.  Vocabulary will become more complex during this unit, but if you stay up with your work, you will be okay.

English I B--Finishing up Romeo and Juliet with a timeline project this week and next. Then will finish the year with To Kill A Mockingbird.

English continuing with To Kill A Mockingbird--stay up with the reading and quote gathering.  If you are not happy with your grade, stay after with Mrs. Weston and get caught up.  No excuses.

World History--The Great War has begun. Propaganda poster and Letter Home from Trenches project this week.  Check out Mr. Stanton's blog for the book assignments. Don't forget CURRENT EVENTS--no excuses since Mr. Stanton gave you news articles on the back of the weekly homework sheet.

MCAS Math exams for grade 10 this week--remember that means a room change for periods A-D.  Make sure you get a weekly class/bell schedule from me.

Have a great week, and enjoy the outdoors during the afternoon.  If you work hard, you will be rewarded!
