On Friday, December 12, you received your progress reports for term 2. I am happy to report that almost all of you are doing what is expected of you--getting your work done and turned in, doing well on projects, tests and quizzes, and staying focused and on task in classes. Congratulations!!!
We have one week until holiday break, then two weeks off. Once the new year starts, there are only three weeks left until term 2 ends, and part of the last week is for Mid-year exams. Now is not the time to slack off. Plan your time wisely so that you can enjoy the Holiday Break, and come back ready to work, study hard and do a good job on your exams. The exams count 10% of your total year grade--the same as half a term grade.
English is finishing up Romeo and Juliet this week. Writing from journals should be typed up and turned in.
Algebra--working on Multiplying and Dividing exponents. Systems projects are now completed.
History--The Middle Ages timeline was assigned today, information gathered and the project will begin. Should be finished by Friday and counts as a quiz grade.
Biology - Enzyme lab today and Tuesday. What happens to jello when it comes in contact with the pineapple enzyme? Stay tuned for the results.
Want a fun project? Marshmallows, frosting, York peppermint patty and a Rollo. Use a fruit tape for the scarf. Only other thing you need is a skewer to hold the whole thing together. Enjoy!!
