It was nice to meet so many parents at the Freshman ice cream social, and October 2nd is the Open House at 7
p.m. so plan to SAVE THE DATE!
The first week of school has
finished and most students appear to have transitioned smoothly. Paper
work (Envelope given out first day, as well as individual expectations
for various classes) needs to be signed and returned as soon as
possible.
Science safety contracts have been issued,
reviewed and there will be a quiz this week. In English, we started with literary terms and will begin to analyze poems. In
Algebra I CP2, Problem Solving strategies were introduced,and students will be receiving review packets this week. In History, students are learning about World War I and Chapter 26, sections 1 and 2 are due on Wednesday and Thursday.
Even
though there were only two days of school last week, it was
busy. Make sure your student is using their agenda to keep track of all
the assignments, projects and quizzes. Also, please check individual
teacher blogs regularly. Any questions or concerns, please email me

Look for Study Skills expectations and parent letters this week. Please review with your student, then sign and return sign off sheets by Friday, September 5, 2014. I look forward to your input.
