Final Exam Week

The last week of school is here.  Final exams start today.  Are you ready? Have you been completing the review packets for science?  Make sure that you work on your "cheat" sheets as a way of reviewing the information that will be on your exam.  Final exams, along with your mid-term exam results count as 20% of your yearly grade.  That means they are worth the same as a terms' worth of work.

Exam schedule:
Monday--D period EXAM with shortened class periods.
Tuesday--A period EXAM, then short B, C period EXAM, short D, E (LUNCH), short F and G
Wednesday--B EXAM, F EXAM (Dismissal at 11 a.m.)
Thursday--E EXAM, G EXAM (Dismissal at 11 a.m.)

Students do not need to attend school on Friday if they have finished their exams and do not need to make up time for attendance.

This year has gone by so quickly.  In the fall, you entered as new freshman with some anxiety about high school: now the year has gone by and for most of you--sophomore year awaits.  Think back over your year and decide what you did well, and what needs to change for next year.  There are no teams for grade 10--good and bad for some.  You will have to be more independent, and more responsible, but with your added maturity, you should be up to the task.

If there is anything that I can do to help over the summer, or as you go into next year, feel free to email me or come see me in the fall.  Have a wonderful summer!
