Where has the time gone--half the term is over already. Are you keeping your notebooks in order? Do you use your agenda everyday? Now is the time to check Aspen, and make changes so that you have a successful first term. There is still plenty of time--Progress reports go home on Friday, October 5th.
In science, we are learning how to do experiments correctly--can you write a good question with an Independent and Dependent Variable? Graphing data is an art, remember to use the correct graph form, with a title, labels for both the x and y axis, and don't forget UNITS.
In math, we are writing from English to algebra and back again. Make sure that your homework is done each night.
Some English classes are reading Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, and learning about the recurring theme--friendship and what are characteristics of friendship. Vocabulary development continues as well.
In history, we are moving from the Industrial Revolution to the MAIN causes of World War I--Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism. Chapter 22, sections 1, 2, and 3 are due this week.
OPEN HOUSE is Thursday, October 4th. Looking forward to showing you what your student's day is like. See you then.
